Other hit singles that month were Sorry by Madonna and US rock band Orson’s No Tomorrow. At the cinema the Date Movie parody had just come out and that month was also to see the likes of horror film The Hills Have Eyes and a reboot of The Pink Panther with Kevin Klein. In the wider news, 2006 was also the year of the infamous incident at the football World Cup involving France’s Zinedine Zidane who was sent off in the final after head-butting Marco Materazzi, from the Italian side which went on to win on penalties.
