Amazon shoppers have been rushing to buy a Russell Hobbs electric multicooker that has now been reduced by 46%.
The Russell Hobbs Good-to-Go electric multicooker has eight cooking functions including sear, roast, Sous Vide, slow cook, steam, rice, boil and keep warm. It has a 6.5 litre capacity pot.
The product description says: “This large pot can cater for everyone and be taken straight to the table to let everyone tuck in. The cooking pot is designed to withstand wear and tear, as you take it from countertop to table top to dishwasher and tested to 100 wash cycles.”
More than 2,000 of these appliances have been bought from Amazon in the past month. It is now available for £49, down from £89.99.
The multicooker has an overall rating of 4.4 out of 5. The majority of people have given it five stars.

One said: “This is a brilliant piece of kit. Have used to fry eggs, cook casseroles and roast veg. Very simple to operate and super easy to clean. Takes up a lot of work surface, but nothing compared to a 4 ring hob it replaced.”
Another wrote: “Fantastic bit of kit! Couldn’t rate this high enough! Made a complete roast dinner using it within 1 hour 30. Simple, powerful. It’s an oven and excellent steamer combined. Very clever.”
A third reviewer added: “Great pot to cook in. I generally cook my bolognese & curries in this pot but it also bakes chicken etc but without browning the outside skin. But the chicken wasn’t dry like it can do in an oven …. haven’t used all the apps as I only wanted it for certain things I cook. Take care whilst washing this item as that the most difficult part of using it. Great size, looks good & and for myself it was definitely worth the money.”
And one person commented: “The best slow cooker ever had. Less washing up, so many setting on it and it’s not an eye sore to look at either.”
However, not all customers had a good experience and there were some criticisms for the product. One shopper said: “Would not recommend this item. The non stick surface lifted away very quickly (I only use silicone spoons and non abrasive sponges). The pot itself is also very wide and quite shallow, which made storing it tricky.”
And another added: “Took over 10 hours on high settings to cook veg soup. Soup was lukewarm as this pot does not retain the heat and cools quickly. Base all scratched after washing. Returning. Very disappointed.”
