Arsenal will demand £60million for England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale when the market reopens – according to reports – following mooted interest from Newcastle during the January transfer window. Ramsdale was flagged up as a possible stop-gap replacement for Nick Pope when he was struck down by injury.
As things transpired, though, Ramsdale stayed put at the Emirates Stadium after being displaced by David Raya as first-choice between the Arsenal posts. Speculation over the 25-year-old has resurfaced with Premier League clubs including Newcastle also linked with a move for his signature this summer.
Reports from TEAMtalk state Ramsdale is ready to leave the north Londoners with Chelsea and Newcastle among those claimed to be keeping an eye on the four-cap England international. However, for any potential suitors, there could be a major stumbling block when it comes to his proposed transfer fee.

TEAMtalk reckon Arsenal expect to generate £60million for Ramsdale as they prepare to finalise a permanent deal for Raya, who initially signed for The Gunners on loan with a £27million option in the agreement. Ramsdale has only played 11 matches in all competitions this season.
In addition to those claims, reports from the Daily Mail indicate Arsenal and Ramsdale are in agreement it would be best for the former Sheffield United and AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper to find a new club this summer. However, a switch to Chelsea is also deemed more likely.
Chelsea spent £25million on Robert Sanchez previously, but the Spain international and one-time Brighton stopper has since been replaced by Djordje Petrovic owing to form and injury woes. That means the No.1 shirt is possibly up for grabs at Stamford Bridge and would present a greater proposition for Ramsdale.
