EastEnders fans are convinced they’ve pieced together the puzzle of Sonia Fowler‘s pregnancy timeline, with many predicting an emotional rollercoaster on the horizon for the future mum. As regular viewers will know, Sonia has been desperately trying to have a baby with Reiss Colwell via IVF, after learning of his fertility issues while hoping to expand their family.
After months of uncertainty and devastating setbacks, the couple finally saw success with their IVF treatment, with Sonia delightedly revealing she was pregnant during Monday evening’s episode (April 22). But despite the joy unfolding on screen, fans fear that it could soon turn to sorrow if Sonia rumbles the truth about how the treatment was funded.

Prior to the couple embarking on their family journey, Reiss came clean to Sonia about his wife Debbie, who is currently comatose in long term hospital care. Initially troubled at first, the couple decided to begin dating and later even went on to discuss the prospect of children, as Debbie was unlikely to wake up. Yet one detail he casually forgot to mention, was that he had been dipping into his wife’s bank account to pay for his IVF with Sonia, without his unwitting girlfriend ever knowing!
Fans are now speculating that Debbie might wake from her coma just as Sonia gives birth, leading to Reiss facing prison time for his fraudulent use of her money.
One fan speculated: “I think they’re gonna head for splitsville at some point. Sonia is so desperate for another baby and Reiss has committed fraud and stolen Debbie’s money. When she finds out, Sonia will hit the roof”, reports the Daily Star.

EastEnders fans are also convinced they have ‘rumbled’ when exactly Sonia might welcome her new arrival. One fan speculated: “Right so Sonia will probably have her baby on the 40th OR new years.”
Meanwhile, another chimed in: “Sonia’s pregnant, 40th anniversary or new year birth on the way.”
A third fan then pondered: “I’m calling a Xmas storyline around baby and his mrs waking up.”
Before a fourth viewer then weighed in adding: “Reiss is definitely going to Jail.”

The speculation didn’t stop there either, with one viewer predicting an even darker twist on the cards: “I think she’ll wake up when Sonia has her baby and she steals it to get revenge on Reiss.”
Meanwhile another viewer questioned: “When is Debbie going to wake up? As soon as Sonia gets pregnant B. When Sonia goes into labour C. Immediately after Sonia gives birth.”
