Discount retailer B&M has confirmed the opening date of a new store in Northumberland.
The shop will be opening in a unit formerly occupied by Homebase in Berwick on May 30. Located in Tweedbank Retail Park, the store will be a larger B&M Home Store and is estimated to be over 30,000sqft.
Bosses confirmed earlier this year that a new outlet would be opening in the site in the spring.
The opening of the store will not impact the current store which is based in the town centre.
It comes after Homebase confirmed it would be closing a number of stores, which included its Berwick outlet. Despite a number of units being turned into The Range, the Berwick store was not saved and shut its doors for the final time earlier this month.
The news of the outlet comes as Lidl also prepares to open a new outlet at Tweedmouth Retail Park.
