High street retailer Boden is offering a pair of Toe Cap Ballet Flats in bronze metallic leather that bear a striking resemblance to a luxury pair from Chanel. The designer version would set you back a cool £810.
However, the budget-friendly flats from Boden are an ideal alternative to the pricey Chanel shoes. Usually priced at £120, they’re currently available with a whopping 60% discount, bringing them down to just £48 – a saving of £762 compared to the high-end option.
The Boden flats mirror the style and colour scheme of the Chanel heels, featuring a bronzed metal upper, black toe cap detail and a low block heel. We anticipate they’ll be snapped up quickly by fashion enthusiasts seeking the luxury look without the hefty price tag, reports the Manchester Evening News.

While the £48 Boden iteration doesn’t feature the iconic Chanel logo, the shoes are strikingly similar, meaning you can make your outfits look more high-end, without spending a fortune. The cheaper pair comes in three other colours, including navy, which are on sale for £84 instead of £120.
Elsewhere, Next stocks a pair of Black Toe Cap Ballet Pumps from Lipsy for £25. Or there’s the Monochrome Forever Comfort Round Toe Leather Ballerina Shoes, which come in at £36. At Debenhams, the Janice Ballerina Flats from Where’s That From are on sale for £19.99.
Available in sizes 3.5 to 8.5, the Boden Toe Cap Ballet Flats are the perfect showstopper for any spring outfit, whether you’re heading to the office, running errands or going on a night out. While the shoes don’t have many reviews on the Boden website, one shopper hailed them as ‘beautiful’.
Their five-star review reads: “Absolutely love these shoes but, for me, they came up very big. I am usually a 6/39 but these were far too large. I exchanged for a size 38 and the blue pair were a perfect fit but, frustratingly, the gold pair were slightly too small. I have kept the blue pair and sent the gold pair back.

“I would love them in gold so will possibly reorder another size 38 and keep my fingers crossed. I have quite a wide foot and I really like the fact that I can now wear Boden shoes, I used to find them all very narrow.
“I also love the fact that the toe box covers my toes and isn’t too low. They are beautifully made, wonderful quality and, when they fit, look lovely, just enough sparkle and suitable for day or evening. Boden, please could you consider reintroducing your shoe bags for shoes like this, it would be great to store them in bags for protection.”
Meanwhile, another shopper lamented the lack of half-sizes available, writing: “Fit of shoes were okay, however no half-sizes offered and that is my ideal fit.”
