Britain’s Got Talent fans already certain they know who this year’s winner is going to be

Britain’s Got Talent enthusiasts are already placing their bets on this year’s winner after being wowed by a standout performance during the opening weekend. The talent show made a grand return with some truly captivating acts, but one contestant in particular seemed to steal the hearts of both the audience and the judges.

Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and hosts Ant and Dec were quick to hit their Golden Buzzers, with Amanda’s choice, singer Sydnie Christmas, making a significant impression.

Sydnie Christmas took to the stage with her stunning vocal talents and charmed everyone with her vibrant personality, although Simon Cowell seemed less convinced due to her song selection of ‘Tomorrow’ from the musical Annie, especially since Sydnie dreams of starring in the West End.

Amanda Holden couldn’t contain her excitement, exclaiming: “Sydnie I think for me, what struck me so much about you is how naturally funny, how brilliant, how warm your presence was the minute you walked on the stage. How you were entertaining everyone but then you brought us the most heartfelt, beautiful version of that song, and that was the best version I’ve heard in my life.”

Alesha Dixon echoed the sentiment, praising Sydnie’s performance: “You are full of character, personality, you’ve got it all going on. Say no more, girl! Smashed it, let’s have it! ” Viewers at home were equally enthralled, with many suggesting that Sydnie could be a strong contender for this year’s BGT title, reports the Mirror.

I’ve never cried at a BGT act in a long long time. I thought she was going to be a comic when she came on, but caught me off guard. Well deserved, you girl, are going very VERY far.”

The competition is fierce this season. Ravi’s Dream Team revealed the deeply moving story behind their audition and what they plan to do with the £250,000 prize money should they win.

Judge Alesha Dixon couldn’t hold back her tears and pressed the Golden Buzzer for the choir, led by the brave eight year old Ravi who is battling a brain tumour, during Sunday night’s episode.

Ravi’s Dream Team, consisting of individuals aged between five and 78, captivated everyone when Alesha, 45, sent them straight to the semi-finals after their stirring performance. Before they sang ‘A Million Dreams’ from the popular 2017 movie The Greatest Showman, Ravi took to the stage with his sister, mother, and father.

During the show, Ravi explained why he decided to audition: “I’ve watched BGT all my life and always wanted to audition for it. Two years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumour and I’m here to show no matter what life throws at you, you can still achieve your dreams.”
