Coleen Nolan, the beloved Loose Women panellist, has made an emotional return to the ITV show after the heart-wrenching loss of her sister, Linda Nolan.
The 59-year-old TV star opened up about her feelings on Tuesday (January 4), shortly following the funeral of her sister over the weekend. Linda, a member of the iconic Nolan Sisters alongside Coleen, tragically lost her long battle with cancer.
In a heartfelt discussion about her comeback and current state of mind, Coleen shared: “It’s difficult to say isn’t it? It’s so soon, we’re all doing great. We have great moments then you absolutely have down moments and they come out of the blue!”
She also gave viewers a glimpse into the funeral: “It was a beautiful day, if you could say that, for Linda – she would have absolutely loved it, and the weather was beautiful.”

Coleen expressed deep gratitude towards the public for their overwhelming support, saying: “And more importantly, the turnout from the public, right from when she passed away, the public- you know, people we’ve never met before sending the most amazing messages, cards and flowers to the whole family.”
She reassured fans that their messages are cherished: “You probably think ‘they don’t even read it’, but we read as many as we can, and I can’t tell you how much it means to us, and that really helped and, of course, all of you guys,” reports Wales Online.

Reflecting on her decision to return to work, Coleen admitted: “You know, it’s just hard because there was a time when I thought, do I go back? Is it too soon? ” But ultimately, she recognised the need to carry on: “And then you have to because life goes on.”
Nolan shot to stardom in the 1970s as part of the renowned group with her sisters Coleen, Maureen, Bernie, Denise, and Anne. They enjoyed success with hits like the 1980 disco anthem I’m In The Mood for Dancing.

In 2005, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, but after undergoing treatment, she received the all-clear in 2011. Tragically, in 2017, she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, which, over time, spread, eventually reaching her brain by 2023.
Her death was announced to fans on Instagram on January 15, with Coleen writing: “Her wit, humour and laughter was infectious, her presence could light up any room,” Coleen said in her tribute on Instagram. , external”Linda had a heart full of compassion and always knew how to bring comfort and joy to those around her.
