While the “industry plant” accusations have ramped up, Doechii just keeps winning.
A little over a month after the Alligator Bites Never Heal rapper won the Grammy for Best Rap Album, she linked up with the very first hip-hop Grammy Award-winning rapper, Will Smith.
In a new viral clip, Smith raps along to Doechii’s reworked version of “Anxiety” while in the mirror and wearing a gray hoodie. As the Academy Award winner nears the hook, it’s revealed that Doechii is sitting across from his reflection.
The “Catfish” rapper turns around, winks, and smiles for the camera.
“Somebody’s watching me…” Smith captioned the post, using “Anxiety” lyrics.
With Smith among those who’ve hopped on the “Anxiety” challenge, Doechii’s star continues burning bright. At the end of this month, the rapper-singer is set to take home Woman of the Year during Billboard Women in Music 2025.
Smith shared the same “Anxiety” snippet in a throwback post of him dancing in an early Fresh Prince of Bel-Air scene with Tatyana Ali.
“I’ve been watching y’all and every video has been better than the last!! Love that track @Doechii. @Tatyana Ali remember this?” Smith captioned the clip.
While “Anxiety” climbs its way up the Billboard Hot 100, Doechii fans can watch the song’s first iteration below, recorded in 2020 for her Coven Music Session, Vol. 1 mixtape.
