Dressing entirely in custom Thom Browne fits for the 67th Annual Grammy Awards was Doechii on Sunday night (Feb. 2).
Styled by Sam Woolf, the Alligator Bites Never Heal rapper hit the red carpet wearing a Thom Browne FW23 archive piece of a structured wool grey tutu dress, completed with a matching wool gray tie and black nubuck leather boots.
The “Nissan Altima” rapper also took the stage to accept the Grammy for Best Rap Album while suited in another gray Thom Browne look, this time an oversized trouser, a raglan-sleeved cropped jacket with red, white and blue armband details, a white oxford shirt and a fitted wool corset. The Top Dawg Entertainment signee also styled her braids differently throughout the night.
“I know that there is some Black girl out there, so many Black women out there that are watching me right now and I want to tell you that you can do it,” Doechii said in her emotional speech, seen below.
“Anything is possible. Don’t allow anybody to project any stereotypes on you, that tell you [that] you can’t be here, that you’re too dark, or that you’re not smart enough or too dramatic or too loud. You are exactly who you need to be.”
Doechii’s night peaked with her show-stopping Grammy debut performance of “Catfish” and “Denial Is A River,” which began with her wearing a uniform Thom Browne wool sportcoat and shorts that were ripped off to expose a white cotton jockstrap brief and matching demi-crop bra.
After the show, Doechii rocked a fourth and final Thom Browne fit, a pillowy-shaped skirt and corset with a crisp white top, gray tie and white high-heeled shoes to pose with her first Grammy.
