Drake Tells Fan He’ll Pay for Their Mother’s Cancer Treatment: ‘Not Even Gonna Put a Number on It’

Drake has offered to cover the costs of a fan’s mother’s cancer treatment after spotting their handmade sign during a recent Anita Max Win Tour stop in Brisbane.

As seen in a video shared to TikTok by @reeniirose, Drake took time out during his set to ensure the sign in question was shown on the venue’s display screen, telling fans in attendance that he “can’t ignore” such a request.

“Everybody’s been pointing at this man all night,” he said. “This right here—put the sign up please, this is important—this man here, he’s got everybody in the crowd pointing to him. Yeah, make sure you get the whole sign. Hey, make some noise for anybody in this world that’s fighting any disease, but especially cancer though. That’s real soldiers, real gangsters.”

Drake continued, “Let me tell you something, my man. I’m not even gonna put a number on it. Whatever you need for your mother’s cancer treatment, I’mma take care of everything for you, I promise. Love, love. Anything.”

As previously reported, handmade signs have been a staple on this run, though fans’ requests aren’t always of the undeniably serious variety. One photo captured during a Sydney show on the tour, which is set to keep Drake in the region through the middle of March, made the rounds on social media in tandem with commentary labeling it “dystopian.”

Dystopia-adjacent or otherwise, Drake is currently fresh off bagging his latest No. 1 album thanks to his and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s joint album $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. This week, Drake shared some behind-the-scenes footage showing the creation of the Elkan-produced album highlight “Nokia.” Next up is a new solo album from Drake, though he has hinted that it won’t arrive until he feels the time is right.
