Drake’s Dad on Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” Grammys Victory: ‘Don’t Care Nothing About That Sh*t’

Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, says he enjoyed the “excellent” Grammys ceremony on Sunday but cares “nothing about” Kendrick Lamar’s Drizzy-dissing “Not Like Us” winning Record of the Year.

As seen in a video shared to TikTok by Joy of Everything, Graham was asked specifically about the ROTY category victory for the track, resulting in an admittedly hilarious response.

“I don’t care nothing about that shit,” he said. “That ain’t got nothing to do with me. All the best to him, man. I don’t do that bullshit.”

While Graham was speaking in response to an inquiry about Kendrick’s ROTY win, “Not Like Us” actually pulled off a sweep of all five of its nominated categories, later earning a congratulatory IG shoutout from the artist formerly known as Kanye West. When accepting the award for Song of the Year, Kendrick gave a well-earned bow to Diana Ross, who introduced the category.

“I’m starstruck,” Kendrick said, later shouting out “all the West Coast artists” who have inspired him along his journey.

“At the end of the day, nothing more powerful than rap music,” he added. “I don’t care what it is. We are the culture. It’s gon’ always stay here and live forever.”

Next, Kendrick will take the stage at the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. He’ll be joined by SZA.
