Newcastle United are just 120 minutes away from a return to Wembley in the Carabao Cup final – but have the small matter of a two-legged semi-final with Arsenal to negotiate first.
Eddie Howe’s side are brimming with confidence after seven consecutive victories, including the 3-1 quarter-final success over Brentford which earned them a last-four place. However, they know they will have to be at their very best to overcome Mikel Arteta’s side and seal a place in the final against either Liverpool or Tottenham.
United are without midfield talisman Bruno Guimaraes and central defender Fabian Schar through suspension, with Sven Botman making a welcome return to the side against Spurs on Saturday. Joe Willock and Sean Longstaff are vying to replace Bruno.
Howe will be speaking to the media ahead of tomorrow night’s game this morning, and we’ll also take the chance to ask about any transfer developments. Latest coming up right here.
