After two long weeks, Newcastle United are close to a return to Premier League action – although we’ll have to wait until Monday night when the Magpies face West Ham under the St James’ Park lights.
United’s form heading into the international break was excellent, with wins over Chelsea, Arsenal and Nottingham Forest putting them back on a track after a difficult spell. Eddie Howe’s stars are back from duty with their respective countries after a set of fixtures which saw England debuts for Lewis Hall and Tino Livramento plus a first goal for the Three Lions from Anthony Gordon.
Howe will give an injury update, with Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier thought to be close to a return, while longer-term absentee Sven Botman has spoken about his progress. Sandro Tonali has had to settle for a place on the bench in the last two games, but again impressed for Italy, so how does Howe fit him into the equation?
Plus there’ll be his thoughts on West Ham and a busy schedule ahead as we start to build up to Christmas. Stick with us for live updates as they happen right here.
