Emmerdale fans ‘rumble’ where Anthony’s body is hidden and when it’ll be found

It’s been a rollercoaster ride in Emmerdale this week, with the village reeling from the fallout of Anthony’s ‘murder’. The plot thickens and viewers are sure they’ve cracked the case on where John Sugden has stashed the villain’s body.

So far, Aaron Dingle was under the impression he was responsible for Anthony’s demise following a severe beating, although the story’s taken another turn. After Aaron confronted Anthony over his abuse towards Ruby, he left the villain for dead at the depot. Enter John Sugden, who seemingly made Anthony’s body disappear, reports the Mirror. Aaron has been tormented by guilt all week, culminating in his confession to Ruby on Thursday.

He recounted attacking her father upon discovering the abuse she suffered—abuse Aaron is sadly familiar with. But then came the bombshell, “You didn’t kill him – I did,” revealed Ruby, as viewers were treated to flashbacks that pieced the mystery together.

Ruby admitted to suffocating Anthony when he attacked her after Aaron had beaten him. Then, opening up to her husband Caleb, they set out to dispose of Anthony’s remains, only to realise John had already taken charge of the situation.

However, John’s lips are sealed about the hideout. Meanwhile, Chas Dingle is also privy to the secret, refusing to keep his mum in the dark.

The pair are now working alongside Ruby and Caleb after Thursday’s shock revelation

Despite the unfolding drama, viewers are left puzzled over John’s evasiveness about the body, with some speculating they’ve cracked the mystery. One fan theorised, “I’m guessing so they can keep it as a surprise when it gets dragged out of the icy water when looking for survivors at the lake accident. Another agreed: ” Another chimed in, “Is his body in the lake that’s gonna have the crash in a few months? “.

Earlier this month, the ITV soap revealed an upcoming heart-stopping crash stunt involving several beloved characters fighting for their lives after a car plunges into an icy lake. This gripping storyline is set to air in February.

The plot thickened further by the episode’s end when Laurel, overwhelmed with guilt, confessed to the police that she “thinks she might have killed someone” after striking him with a candlestick. However, fans aren’t entirely convinced that Ruby, Caleb, Aaron and John are off the hook.

As one viewer pointed out, “Too many people know only a matter of time before someone slips up,” while another agreed, “We all know secrets don’t remain secrets on soaps. This is going to blow up in all their faces.”
