It’s hard to believe that it’s nearly been a year since Loreen triumphed in Liverpool, earning her second Eurovision Song Contest win in just over a decade and meaning this year’s event will be held in Swede.
After finishing in second place with Sam Ryder in 2022, the United Kingdom ended up hosting Eurovision last year, on behalf of Ukraine, with Liverpool eventually chosen as the city to do the honours, after a rigorous selection process and applications from locations all over the UK.
While the host country didn’t do too well with Mae Muller, Sweden were victorious once again, although the result went right to the wire, as Loreen’s Tattoo was pushed all the way by Finland.
