Family of 20-year-old motorcyclist killed in County Durham crash pay tribute

The family of a 20-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a crash have paid tribute to him.

Shane Gaskin was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a three-vehicle collision on Dentgate Lane, Barnard Castle, just before 6pm on November 11.

Shane was taken to James Cook Hospital with serious injuries but passed away the following day.

Shane’s family paid tribute to him and thanked Great North Air Ambulance staff, emergency services, and hospital staff who all tried to save him.

Durham Constabulary has confirmed an investigation into the collision is ongoing.
