Geordie Shore feud erupts as cast slam Charlotte Crosby’s new role

Charlotte Crosby has confirmed that an Australian spin-off of reality TV show Geordie Shore is in the works and she’s in Cairns filming for Aussie Shore after bagging a new role.

The TV star, 33, is Down Under with her fiancé Jake Ankers and their daughter Alba-Jean, 18 months, as she’s busy filming for Aussie Shore with a new cast, just months after she quit the UK version of the show.

Now new reports suggest her former UK cast mates are “seething” that Charlotte bagged the role – which is reportedly set to see her acting as the Oz version of Anna Parkin, who was known as The Boss on British MTV’s Geordie Shore, as a few of them were in talks for the position.

Speaking on Kyle and Jackie O radio show, Charlotte shared: “Well listen, I’ll tell you because I know it won’t go any further, but this is hectic. The last week of my life, I’ve never experienced craziness like it. We’re filming Aussie Shore.”

A source exclusively told The Sun that the news didn’t go down well with Charlotte’s former co-stars. They said: “Charlotte being announced as the host of Aussie Shore has really ruffled feathers amongst the other cast mates. A few of them were in talks for the gig but didn’t get it, so it’s got their back up.

“They feel like Charlotte hasn’t even been loyal to the brand by quitting the show again while filming the last series, yet she gets all the biggest opportunities. There is a lot of bad feeling about it.”

Charlotte shot to fame on the first series of the popular MTV reality show in 2011, staying until 2016 and then returning in 2022.

Last year, she announced that she had quit the show after filming for the 2024 series went ‘so terribly wrong’, but she is now returning for the Aussie spin-off.

The claims of ‘seething cast mates’ comes amid reports of ongoing feuds among the Geordie Shore cast.

Charlotte and Nathan fell out when Charlotte learned that Nathan had been gossiping about her behind her back. She has also fallen out with Chloe Ferry.

Marnie recently spoke out about her fierce fall-out with Charlotte and insisted there’s no chance of the two of them making up.

While filming the 24th series in Cyprus, Marnie and Charlotte started a huge argument, over something as silly as cereal left on a child’s high chair but it quickly spiralled out of control.

Fellow castmate Holly said the villa vibe helped fan the flames. Charlotte then quit the MTV show after just two days following the huge row during filming. She has since opened up on filming the series and said she was “sad for loads of reasons”.

Speaking on her Always On podcast, the reality star said: “It just ended up going so terribly wrong. I don’t know why but the whole series, I later discovered, was a bit weird. I’m sad for loads of reasons. I’m sad that I took Alba and Jake, my family, into a show that I loved so much and it went so badly wrong.

“I feel like I could cry talking about it. I felt an immense amount of guilt for not knowing better. I just thought we were going to have such a good time.”
