Hebburn Town offering free game entry for International Women’s Day

Hebburn Town Football Club have announced that all women and girls set to attend it’s home game this Saturday will receive free entry.

Saturdays home fixture game against Ashton United – kicking off at 3pm on March 8 – coincides with International Women’s Day 2025.

The club has announced that the free entry offered to all women and girls is their way of showing support to the #HerGameToo campaign.

The campaign aims to highlight the importance of female’s across the sport, inspiring more women to both play and spectate in ‘the beautiful game’.

Posting on Facebook, Hebburn Town FC said: “We would like to celebrate the females that are part Hebburn Town FC, including those who are volunteers.

“The club will be implementing the aforementioned entry prices and hope to see as many people there as possible to support.”

Earlier this year, plans for new turnstile buildings at the clubs home ground were approved by local planning chiefs. The development has been welcomed as a necessity for the club’s progression through football leagues.

Adults entry to Saturday’s game will be £5, whilst children aged 12-16 will pay £2. Under 12’s will also be given free entry.
