It recently held the official after party for the MOBO Awards in Newcastle and now a well known venue in the city centre is to throw open its doors for another big occasion – the Carabao Cup final, after what it says is an ‘incredible’ demand for it to do so.
Almost as soon as the final whistle was blown on Newcastle’s 2-0 semi final win over Arsenal, the button was pressed on ticket sites for a whole host of different fan zones across Newcastle city centre, to see Eddie Howe’s menu take on Liverpool at Wembley on March 16. Ones that have already attracted plenty of interest include one in Times Square, as part of this year’s Paddy Fest, one inside NX on Westgate Road, where DJ Schak will also be on the decks and the ‘biggest ever’ in the city, round the back of the Utilita Arena.
There are also a few in a some rather unexpected locations like Wylam Brewery and the Assembly Rooms and, on Friday afternoon, with just over a week to go until the final, the Boiler Shop have joined the list of venues on Tyneside that look set to be a mecca for football fans next weekend.
In a post that appeared on the South Street’s social media channels, it was confirmed that there will be not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR huge screens with Newcastle v Liverpool on next Sunday. And, as well as the match itself, there will be top notch street food on site courtesy of Jam Jar, DJ sets and the offer of a free drink with every ticket purchased *subject to availability.
Tickets to go to the Carabao Cup final at Boiler Shop are on sale now priced £11. The venue have also announced that, as well as three bars being open on the day, there will also be loads of tables available at no extra fee. First come first served, so get down early.
Under 18s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. Doors will open at 2pm, with last entry at 3.30pm and kicking out time 7.30pm.
