‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’ Trailer: The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega, and Barry Keoghan Lead New Thriller

Hurry Up Tomorrow, a new psychological thriller that just so happens to share a title with what may very well go down as the best album of 2025, now has a trailer.

Tuesday, Lionsgate rolled out the first proper look at the film, which sees Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a. (soon-to-be f.k.a.?) The Weeknd, leading a cast that also boasts Golden Globe nominee Jenna Ortega and Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan.

The trailer gives us a glimpse at the sinister forces seemingly plaguing our central character, a musician played by Tesfaye who’s at one point passionately told by Keoghan, seemingly playing either a ruthless manger or general hanger-on type, that he’s “fucking invincible.” Ortega, meanwhile, apologizes to Abel’s character, who’s at one point depicted being tied up in bed.

“I’m nothing to hurt you,” she says.

Later, Abel’s character poses a question that’s befitting of the dizzying pace of the two-minute trailer itself: “What the fuck is going on?”

Hurry Up Tomorrow, directed by Waves and It Comes at Night filmmaker Trey Edward Shults, is only in theaters May 16. Earlier this week, Lionsgate shared some first-look images of the film. See those below.
