I’m A Celeb star suffers bloody injury in camp

I’m A Celebrity viewers were left concerned on Thursday night’s show when Radio 1 host Dean McCullough was left with what looked like a bloody injury after calling it quits on the latest Bushtucker Trial.

In Lethal Lab, which was Dean’s third trial in three days, the star received four stars for the camp. Whilst he seemed to be doing well, Dean wouldn’t let hosts Ant and Dec reveal what was in the boxes with him during the trial. When he felt the texture of fish guts being poured on to his head, Dean quickly shouted “I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!” and the trial was abandoned.

The trial had seven different containment areas in total, although Dean did not complete them all. During the ones he did complete, the star was joined by cockroaches, crickets and mealworms, giant lizards, snakes, and spiders.

However, after the trial, fans were more concerned about Dean’s lip, which looked like it had been cut during the antics. One penned on X, formerly known as Twitter: “bless him for getting 4 stars tho. also has anyone noticed that Dean has cut his lip ,” whilst another questioned: “has dean cut his lip ?”

Although Dean only received four stars, he was given a hero’s welcome in camp. It was a huge improvement from previous days where he came back with either no stars or one star.

In hilarious and heartwarming scenes, Alan and Barry ran Dean a bubble bath to enjoy, while Danny gave him a head massage, which they called the I’m A Celeb spa.

Although Dean said he was ready to ‘change the narrative’ during the trials, it didn’t seem to work with the public, as he was once again voted to take on the trial on Friday night’s show alongside McFly star Danny Jones.

Elsewhere, Thursday night’s episode saw the highly anticipated arrival of late comers Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles. In a secret mission fans branded the show’s ‘funniest ever moment’ the pair were put up in a ‘seven star camp’ complete with a pull out bed, sofa and fridge.

However, they must keep this a secret from the rest of the camp, who believe they’re in the ‘Junkyard’ without even a bed to sleep on.

Fans are loving the challenge, as one wrote: “The Itv producer whose idea it was for the junkyard and them to mess w the other Camp Mates deserves a Raise IMMEADIATELY

Reminds me of the BedSit from Early Big Brother where they could spy on the housemates n play pranks on them.”
