Coronation Street fans are all set to finally unravel the mystery surrounding Lauren Bolton’s sudden disappearance.
Actress Cait Fitton, who portrays the character of Lauren in the show, became a part of the Corrie team in 2022 and has since been a key player in some thrilling plotlines. Earlier this year, her character unexpectedly went missing which led to Roy Cropper becoming the prime suspect in her case – and viewers will soon discover the truth.
Off-camera, Cait doesn’t mirror her problematic character on screen and is known to love dressing up glamorous. Let’s take a sneak peek into her professional journey, friendly ties on set, and hidden talents….

Cait made a name for herself with her acting skills, bagging the role in Corrie after appearances in Doctors and the children’s programme Gigglebiz but she’s also an accomplished vocalist. The 22 year old once treated her Instagram followers with a flawless rendition of Ben E. King’s Stand By Me, reports the Mirror.
The talented actress who hails from Middleton, Greater Manchester, captioned her Instagram post: “I feel beyond privileged to say my professional showreel has been filmed by @olibogroup and I am mega excited to share it with you guys!”
Music may be her passion, but it seems that a spot on the cobbles of Coronation Street was always Cait’s ultimate ambition. She reminisced with The Sun about a childhood memory: “The teacher asked us, ‘What do you want to be when you’re older?’ Children were saying ‘a fireman’ or ‘a nurse’, and I said, ‘I want to be in Coronation Street’. I remember all the teachers were amused, they couldn’t believe it. I watched it religiously.”

She continued, sharing her adoration for the show’s characters: “I loved Gail and Becky and Kylie and I’d think, ‘This is my dream’. I spent so long dreaming about it and wanted it so badly. Sometimes I’d despair and think it was never going to happen, but it just shows that if you fight and you work hard for your dreams, you can achieve.”
Cait’s Instagram is a treasure trove of behind-the-scenes glimpses from the set, where she’s formed close bonds with co-stars like Paddy Bever, who plays Max, and Julia Goulding, who has been a mentor figure to her. “Everyone’s just been so nice. It’s been amazing. Everyone’s been so kind,” she gushed about her Corrie colleagues.
Landing the role of Lauren was nothing short of a dream come true for Cait, a sentiment she expressed in an emotional Instagram post celebrating the milestone and thanking her supporters.

Cait expressed her excitement by writing: “My younger self is screaming right now! ! ! I want to say a big thank you to all the cast and crew at @coronationstreet for inviting me in with open arms and making me feel so welcome! Thank you to my amazing agent Brooke Kinsella at @intertalentactors for constantly supporting me and always pushing me to achieve.”
In an emotional tribute to her family members, she added: “Also a massive thank you to my family and friends who have supported me throughout this process and been with me along the journey so far! I dedicate this role of achievement to my family who were huge fans of the show but unfortunately are no longer with me, but I know if they were, they’d be bursting at the seams!”
