A Newcastle pub has reopened its doors just in time for Christmas following an exciting six-figure investment, with extensive renovation work ongoing since November now unveiled.
Popular pub The Windsor in Kingston Park, having established itself as the ultimate destination for pub sports, has unveiled a whole host of exciting new features and additions, whilst retaining much of the original character and charm.
Featuring a new darts area perfect for local league players and a dedicated space for pool enthusiasts with a new pool table being installed, it is now also equipped with Sky Sports, Sky Q and TNT Sports and a new state-of-the-art audio-visual system.
The investment has also led to a large new spacious patio area being added, perfect to enjoy a tasty tipple during the hotter months and is anticipated to become the go-to spot for locals to enjoy soaking up the sun in a cosy surrounding.
Wendy Graham, Operator at the Windsor, said: “We’ve been working hard behind the scenes for the past few weeks so it’s been great to welcome guests, both old and new, back to our pub. The feedback we’ve received from our guests about how much they love the new décor and all the new features we’ve invested in has been brilliant to hear.
“We know the work completed has not only enhanced our warm and welcoming atmosphere but also strengthened the pub’s community spirit, which was at the heart of our thoughts during the investment.”
The Windsor also boasts a huge events programme including free pool on Monday, Tombola Tuesday and Wednesday Poker Night Guests can also enjoy competing in a Quiz Night on Thursday or Friday Jukebox and Saturday karaoke.
The Windsor is also looking forward to hosting a special £500 raffle ticket giveaway on Christmas Day and a epic New Year’s Eve celebration is in store, featuring local favourite, Tommy and the Oddballs.
