ITV I’m A Celeb fans say the same thing as they spot ‘main problem’ just days in

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans are feeling a bit miffed with one celeb on the ITV jungle show.

Sunday evening saw the much-loved programme return, flaunting a new batch of celebs including Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones and Jane Moore.

Since the season’s start, viewers have been treated to edge-of-your-seat trials, heartfelt chats and plenty of laughs. Yet, there’s one campmate who has been repeatedly picked by the public to do the trials.

Radio personality Dean McCullough has become the go-to for Bushtucker Trials, having already tackled two solo and one with GK Barry.

Regrettably, his solo efforts were cut short as he cried out the iconic phrase ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’.

In each ordeal, the 32-year-old has braved an array of creepy crawlies, from crickets, snakes, spiders, green ants and cockroaches. Despite his loud protests and shrieks of terror, Dean has given it his all in the quest for stars.

Come Thursday night, the news dropped that he’s set for another trial, this time with McFly’s Danny Jones. However, some fans airing their views on X (formerly Twitter) are questioning Dean’s sincerity, reports the Express.

One viewer commented: “Can no one else tell that dean is being fake? can we stop voting him for trials pls it’s literally what he wants the public to do for more screen time #ImACeleb #imacelebrity.”

Another tweeted: “Why is he acting shocked when he’s picked? He’s got to know why he’s been voted .. so fake #imaceleb.”

Someone else wrote: “#ImACeleb my main problem with Dean is that one second he’s screaming the next he’s calm as anything.. just comes across all fake and staged.”

One fan reeled: “Please stop voting for Dean to do trials. It’s really boring now. Fake drama.”

Echoing a similar sentiment, one tweet read simply: “I’m sorry but I just find Dean so fake.”

Not everyone feels the same though, as some are thoroughly entertained by Dean’s jungle journey, with someone confessing: “God I LOVE Dean.”

The debate over Dean’s trials reached the Good Morning Britain studio where presenter Susanna Reid spoke up on his behalf, saying: “I have to defend Dean here.”

“II don’t know him and have never met him, but he had the helmet on, which then got filled with bugs. Then he managed to do the two stars, you collect the stars using your mouth and then you poke it through the little letter box hole. Then the sand came in, this is sand.

“You know what it’s like when you get trapped in sand and the sand is continually rising up his legs. Even as I say that I start feeling a little bit panicky!”

The radio star has left viewers less than impressed

Danny Jones and GK Barry currently lead as the frontrunners tipped to win the whole contest.

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, has revealed: “Danny Jones was already a firm favourite to win this year’s edition of I’m A Celebrity and the McFly singer has been smashed in the betting since the beginning of the show, shortening into even-money from 15/8 yesterday.

“”Jones is now well clear of GK Barry at 5/1, with Maura Higgins closing in on her in the market at 8/1 from 10/1.Alan Halsall is the big negative in the market, after drifting to 14/1 from 8/1.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! continues weeknights on ITV from 9pm.
