The Masked Singer buffs are totally buzzing with the idea that Rita Ora might be sneaking back onto the show, not as a judge but as one of the disguised singers.
The pop sensation, who was swapped out for Maya Jama on the panel this season, has got the rumour mill churning full speed. Fans reckon her no-show at the judges’ table is a dead giveaway she’s in the mix as a contestant.
Rita’s been a familiar face on The Masked Singer since it kicked off in 2020, but come September 2024, word got out that she’d hung up her judging hat.
Now, with whispers flying that Rita’s throwing her voice into the contestant ring, one super-sleuth fan has pieced together three juicy clues pointing to Rita rocking the Pufferfish costume.

Over on the Masked Singer Reddit hub, a detective fan laid out their hunch in a post titled “Is Pufferfish Rita Ora! ! ? ? ?”
They explained: “Pair of dice that land on a 5 and 6 equals 11 – she first started on the US version Season 11. A five-year work diary- she did 5 series in the UK but not this series as she is under that mask/ or it could mean about fifty shades when she sang the song for it. Spider- She duetted with Iggy Azalea with the song Black Widow. Still figuring the other clues out for Rita Ora”, reports the Mirror.
One viewer gushed on social media: “Love this!” while another was deep in speculation: “I bet Samantha Barks but the twisted hints are rubber chicken, the American football and also the dice. Second, I have no idea what connects to her and the spider clue.”
A fan speculated: “Pufferfish has the nicest voice, I reckon. I did wonder if Rita Ora might be on it because they’ve been reticent about her disappearance as a judge.”

Another added their thoughts: “Some of the clues lead to a judge role. I don’t know her singing voice though,” while someone else declared: “I’m legit convinced Pufferfish is Rita Ora.”
Despite the wild guesses, Pufferfish continues to charm the audience, having performed three diverse songs so far – Chappell Roan’s Good Luck, Babe!, Cyndi Lauper’s iconic Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, and Lose Control by Teddy Swims.
As the guessing game heats up, some fans are throwing Mabel’s name into the mix as the celebrity behind Pufferfish, while others suggest it could be Katy Perry hiding beneath the aquatic costume.
