Jack Harlow Returns With “Hello Miss Johnson”

Just over a year after the TikTok-fueled success of “Lovin on Me,” Jack Harlow is introducing the world to “Hello Miss Johnson.”

The new song’s video is directed by Shadrinsky, the same name behind Lil Uzi Vert and Marc Jacobs’ CCTV-style cake clip and Yseult’s “Bitch You Could Never.”

In “Hello Miss Johnson,” we open on a streaker making his way through a suburban neighborhood. From there, we are introduced to Harlow’s love interest, with the 26-year-old directing key parts of the song at her mother.

“Was it you that gave the eyes to her that I be lost in?” he raps at one point.

In the days leading up to “Hello Miss Johnson,” Harlow, as we gleefully reported earlier this week, shared tweets that when viewed all together tell an existentially discombobulating tale of intense self-reflection.

Grape Swisher Sweets, blunt-facing lovers, Texas Roadhouse, and Great Clips all played key parts, as did this particular arrangement of words that more or less serves as a public pitch to the turn the whole thing into a film or TV series. This is me reiterating that call.

Harlow is closing out the month with back-to-back performances at the Kentucky Center’s Whitney Hall in his hometown of Louisville. He’ll be backed by the Louisville Orchestra alongside conductor Teddy Abrams for both shows.
