While Charli XCX might have been the big winner on the night, many fans were left declaring that Jade Thirlwall ‘ruled’ the Brit Awards 2025, with the Little Mix star taking home her first accolade as a solo artist, as well as delivering an unforgettable performance.
Given that she and her fans had campaigned hard on social media to canvas for votes for her to win Pop Act, South Shields singer Jade was one of the favourites to triumph in one of the first categories of the O2 Arena ceremony and, after losing out to Charli in Song of the Year, as Angel of My Dreams was beaten by Guess, Jade got revenge just minutes later, when she triumphed over the Brat star to win the Pop trophy.
After being handed her award by the Sugababes, Jade was quick to thank all her fans for helping her win it, before thanking her management, creatives and friends and family, as social media went wild for her victory. The Brits buzz surrounding Jade then went up a few notches when she took to the stage to perform Angel of My Dreams, the song that launched her solo career to great acclaim last summer.
The stunning spectacle was divided into different acts, each more dramatic than its predecessor, with Jade starting the number dressed in a bridal gown, before dropping from a platform and transforming into a diva and then an angel, as she ascending up to above the stage, looking both iconic and ethereal.

And by the time much of the O2 Arena was on its feet at the end of the performance, people were flocking to X to proclaim Jade as ‘queen of the Brits’ as some fans applauded her for giving one of the ‘best performances ever’ at the Brits. Delighting at her win and her star turn on stage, one wrote: “congratulations to jade for winning her first brit award as a solo artist, so incredibly proud of you and your incredible win and insane performance you deserve all the flowers”
Equally enamoured by Jade, a second posted: “#jade at the #BRITs2025 is one of the best performances I have seen in a long long time. Moving, cinematic, beautiful, incredible and astonishing (but not surprising) vocals. Goosebumps,” as a third reacted: “JADE I FEEL LIKE CRYING YOURE INCREDIBLE”
