Jim Jones has made it clear he’s not a fan of Mase, most recently saying the Harlem World rapper looks “terrible” and needs to hit the gym.
On Tuesday, XXL shared Jones’ video interview with Capo, during which the rapper was asked about his thoughts on Murda Mase. Jones took the opportunity to drag the Harlem native and his appearance, insisting Mase needs to see a doctor.
“He need to go on a diet,” Jones said. “He need to get his life together. He need to go to the doctor and get a physical. He look terrible.”
He continued, “N***a look big around the neck, waist look crazy. I’m body-shaming this n***a. He need to go get his shit together, get on the treadmill, do some push-ups, do something, especially if you’re playing with me. You gonna need it.”
Jones hasn’t shied away from his disdain for Mase. In January, the Dipset member explained that he doesn’t see eye to eye with Mase because of how he treated Cam’ron once his rap career took off.
Cam and Mase were childhood friends, but after getting his deal with Bad Boy Records, Mase allegedly switched up on his own people, including Cam, before leaving Harlem entirely.
“I watched Mase shit on Cam and everybody around him. Like, all the time,” Jones said on Justin Laboy’s #Respectfully show. “I was Cam’s man, you heard? Cam and Mase were so-called best friends, grew up together … I was there for everything. That’s one thing people can’t never say, is that I wasn’t there for every single thing.”
Jones added at the time, “Cam was jumping out the window for him, which a friend should. Like, being overprotective, making sure nothing happens. He was trying his best to make sure that Mase stayed as safe as possible. But Mase had got that money and lost his motherfucking mind.”
