They’re no strangers to the spotlight and Katie Price and Kerry Katona have confirmed they are going to be embarking on a UK tour, which will see them bring their ‘Evening with’ show to Whitley Bay later this year.
Both household names in their own right and both former stars on I’m A Celebrity, Katie and Kerry have recently worked together in a pantomime in Northwich and, having grown close again, will now hit the road on their own tour, which will bring them to the Playhouse in Whitley Bay on September 15, with tickets starting at £30.45, rising to £52 for the first few rows from the front and £63.95 for the Suite Experience.
Excited to welcome the well known duo and giving a taste of what to expect, a description on the Playhouse’s website reads: “Having been friends for over twenty years, they are looking forward hitting the road together and sharing stories of marriage and divorce, bankruptcy, ‘I’m A Celebrity’, the importance of family, their constant press attention and turning their lives around.
“There will also be some song and dance and an opportunity for audience questions in an evening that promises to be warm, inspirational, motivational and lots of fun!”
Katie, who delivered a star turn in an adult panto in nearby North Shields at the start of 2024, will be back in the region before then, as she joins comedy legend Bobby Davro for an Easter pantomime in Darlington.
Both Katie and Kerry have been plugging the upcoming tour on their Instagram accounts and it would be fair to say the response has been mixed. While some fans urged them to add dates in their hometowns and were desperate for news of any meet and greet opportunities, others weren’t quite as enthusiastic, with one responding to Katie’s post to write: “Who in their right mind would pay to go and see this? as a second, echoing the same sentiments, commenting: “And talk about what exactly? Their dirty laundry is always aired so I don’t envisage any surprises”
