Love Island star Sam Gowland has announced that he and partner Scarlett Rae are engaged. The TV personality, who appeared on the ITV2 dating show back in 2017, shared the exciting news with his one million Instagram followers where he revealed that he’d popped the question while in Dubai.
As he made the announcement, Sam shared a series of snaps of himself and Scarlett cosying up while on a romantic boat trip. In the heartwarming photos, the pair looked loved up as they celebrated their engagement, with Scarlett proudly showing off her stunning ring to the camera as she soaked up the occasion.

“Yesterday, today, tomorrow, I’d always choose you. Here’s to forever,” the TV personality captioned the post. In response to the happy announcement, fans and famous faces flocked to the comments section to show their support for the couple.
“Congratulations my brother love to see it,” wrote Marcel Somerville, who appeared in the Love Island villa alongside Sam. “Here we go, congrats guys,” added Chris Hughes.
“Congratulations to you both xx,” said Georgia Harrison. Meanwhile, Gabby Allen added: “Congratulations guys xx.”

Fans of the Love Island star also sent messages of congratulations. “Congratulations on your engagement, may there be many more happy years together,” wrote one. Another commented: “Omg!! Congrats guys!! So happy for you both.”
While viewers of the hit ITV show may recognise Sam, social media star Scarlett has secured an impressive 36,000 followers on Instagram where she shares snaps from her life in Dubai as well as from her lavish trips. Her bio reads: “Making the world my home”.
Other than sharing news of their engagement, the pair have kept their romance relatively under the radar – though they do occasionally feature on each other’s social media pages. Back in August, Scarlett shared a snap alongside Sam as she wished him a happy birthday.
