Machine Gun Kelly Reacts to Bob Dylan Posting a Video of His Performance: ‘WTF’

Bob Dylan appears to be a fan of Machine Gun Kelly.

Dylan took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a clip of MGK performing his 2015 song “Almost” in-store at Park Ave. CDs in Orlando, FL in 2016, per Billboard. The legendary musician provided no caption or context for the post.

The shout-out stunned Kelly and his friend, singer/producer Mod, Sun who hopped in the comments to react to the moment. “You having a phone is so rad,” Kelly wrote. Mod Sun added, “This is my favorite thing that’s ever happened on the internet.”

Kelly also reacted on his IG Story. “WTF. This was not on my 2025 Bingo card,” he wrote alongside a screenshot of Dylan posting the clip.

In a follow-up video, Kelly opened up about being surprised.

“I’m in my conversation pit in my house having a whole discussion about, ‘Am I doing the right thing? Is this the right direction for this album? I’m questioning it. And in the same breath that I’m questioning it, someone goes, ‘Bob Dylan just posted a video of you.’ And I’m like, ‘There must be another Bob Dylan. Whatever.’

MGK continued, explaining the he was “grateful” for the shoutout.

“We got to his Instagram, he did post a video. I’m like…Just the originator of doing everything opposite of what people wanted him to do, randomly posting a video of me back in the day rapping in a vinyl shop,” he added. “I’m just like, ‘What the fuck?’ Just trust the signs, man. That was so cool. I’m so grateful. So random.”

Dylan’s online activity has always been fairly random. Some of his recent posts include paying tribute to his late bandmate Garth Hudson, tweeting a happy birthday message to an unknown “Mary Jo,” various musings on Nick Cave, and scenes from TV shows The Twilight Zone.

Dylan is set to return to the stage on May 25 in Tulsa, Oklahoma for his Rough and Rowdy Ways World Wide Tour.
