Celebs Go Dating are set to make history with the upcoming series after the show signed up a Channel 4 reality star on the hunt for love. The iconic dating show which offers up a second chance at love for stars hoping to find romance, has signed up Ella Morgan, the first transgender star to take part.
Ella first shot to fame on last year’s series of Married at First Sight, when she infamously turned the head of JJ Slater, despite them both being married to other people. Sadly their romance didn’t last and JJ has since gone on to find love with model Katie Price.
Now, mere months later Ella is keen to find a lasting connection for herself and reportedly jumped at the chance to take part when approached by E4 bosses. A source told The Sun : “Ella is telling friends she’s signed up for Celebs Go Dating this week – she’ll make show history as the first trans contestant and bosses were really keen to sign her.”
OK! has reached out to Ella for comment.
Although the full line-up has yet to be finalised, several other rumoured names that may be taking part include Made in Chelsea ‘s Tristan Phipps and original Love Island stunner, Hannah Elizabeth – who most recently starred in a special All Stars edition of the show.
Celebs Go Dating follows a group of single stars as they explore new connections with a bit of help from MAFS expert Paul Brunson and dating guru Anna Williamson. With Ella now coming face to face with Paul once again, the real question will be whether she can accept his advice or if she’ll be keen to carve her own chaotic path for a second time.
Fans will want to tune in as Ella opens up on her love life to date, which undoubtedly will see her opening up about her recent failed romance with JJ, after their affair fell flat following the end of the MAFS experiment. In a further blow, following the split JJ soon swiftly moved on to dating Katie Price, someone Ella had struck up a close friendship with, in a move described as a “breach of girl code.”
Katie and JJ are currently enjoying a whirlwind getaway in Ayia Napa, despite Katie having previously been due in court for a hearing concerning her ongoing bankruptcy. The 45 year old model was warned she could face a possible prison sentence for failing to attend the hearing, which came after she was declared bankrupt back in March for the second time.
