Former Married at First Sight bride, Lara Eyre, 52, who appeared on the UK version of the show in 2022, has shared a video from her hospital bed and issued a warning to her fans. The reality TV star, known to have asthma, posted the footage on Instagram on Friday [20 December] morning, where she was seen donning a black beanie hat and matching jumper.
Throughout the video, Lara appeared breathless at times and revealed that she had ended up in hospital after going out for a prescription. She confessed that she was unprepared and lacked certain “essentials and creature comforts”. She advised her followers: “So, if you have asthma and you feel at all unwell, top tip – pack a ‘go bag’. Leave it in your hallway [or] leave it in your car, so you don’t end up in a hospital without anything that you need. No makeup, no wipes, no socks, no toothbrush. Like nothing. Lara added.”
She continued: “I’ve come with nothing and so I’m gonna write a list down below of all the things I wish I had with me whilst I’m here. Cause you don’t think about it… like, I was only going for a prescription and I ended up in the hospital. So, I think that would have made a difference so follow [my advice].”
Lara, known from the explosive E4 series Married at First Sight, took to social media sharing a snapshot of her hospital stay. With a heartfelt and thoughtful message, she wrote: “Ending up in hospital is scary, stressful and strange but having some of your essentials and creature comforts can lessen the anxiety. Pack a GO bag so you are ready just in case. A few things I wish I had clean knickers lol, hair brush, fuzzy socks, makeup wipes, baby wipes, toothbrush, book, charger , PJs, eye mask, ear plugs and the list goes on, and leave the bag where a friend can easily find it so you don’t have to stress explaining or asking them to pack for you when you’re not well so my little asthma sufferers be prepared and enjoy winter!!! #prepared #asthma #lessstress #hospital,” reports the Mirror.
Fans and followers rallied around Lara with messages full of support and wishes for a speedy recovery. Comments poured in, including one that read: “Hope you’re feeling better soon” and another adding: “Get well soon.”
Lucinda Light, recently gracing the screen on the latest instalment of Married at First Sight Australia, also chimed in with a caring comment, writing: “Sending you love and healing gorgeous.”
