Maui Police Chief Denies Claims of Aiding Diddy in Alleged Rape After Being Named in Lawsuit

Maui Police Chief John Pelletier denied involvement in the allegations from an amended lawsuit accusing him of co-conspiring with Diddy to carry out an alleged sexual assault.

The lawsuit, filed by Ashley Parham, claimed that Pelletier, who was allegedly working security for Diddy at the time, pretended to be a local sheriff after she was violently gang raped by Diddy and others, including Odell Beckham Jr and Druski, during a 2018 incident in Orinda, California.

Parham claimed she was set up by Shane Pearce, a mutual associate of Diddy’s, after she made a comment insinuating he was responsible for 2Pac’s murder in 1996.

The woman then claimed Diddy and his entourage assaulted her at Pearce’s apartment, and after she escaped, Pelletier responded to a noise complaint, instructed her to go home, and failed to offer to take her to a hospital or assistance in retrieving her personal belongings.

In a statement made to TMZ on Wednesday, Pelletier denied any connection to the individuals named in the lawsuit, calling the claims “entirely unfounded.”

“I am confident that the evidence will demonstrate these claims to be false and will expose those who are deliberately trying to manipulate the legal system to spread misleading narratives,” Pelletier told the outlet, before highlighting his past work in sexual assault prevention and his 2018 recognition by the Rape Crisis Center.

“These baseless allegations not only are wrong but also show a lack of respect for victims of abuse, whose voices deserve to be heard and supported with compassion and integrity,” he concluded.

Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen has called for Pelletier to be placed on administrative leave pending an investigation, per TMZ.

Although Parham named Beckham Jr. and Druski in her complaint as two of her assailants, both men have denied the claims in separate statements.

“This allegation is a fabricated lie,” wrote Druski on his account X on Sunday. “I wasn’t a public figure in 2018. I was broke living with my mom without any connections to the entertainment industry at the time of this allegation, so the inclusion of my name is truly outlandish. My heart breaks for actual victims of abuse, but l’m fully confident that the evidence will expose this falsehood and the individuals who are maliciously trying to game the legal system to peddle false narratives.”

“I have been informed of the allegations about me in a suit in CA,” OBJ wrote in his statement shared on Monday. “I really can’t even believe that my name is mentioned in that matter. There is absolutely no truth to those allegations.”

“I do not know and have never met the person that filed the suit,” he continued. “I was not anywhere near Orinda, CA at that time. In fact, I don’t think I have ever even been to Orinda, CA. I have never done anything like that, and I would never do anything like that to anyone. I’m confident that these ridiculous claims against me will be dismissed.”

A representative for Diddy’s legal team called the claims made against him “a fabricated lie” in a statement issued on Monday.

“This new complaint – brought by an attorney who has already been sued for defaming Mr. Combs – demonstrates the depraved lengths plaintiffs will travel to garner headlines in pursuit of a payday,” said the rep in a statement. “Mr. Combs was nowhere near Orinda, California on the day Ms. Parham claims she was assaulted there, and the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department has already confirmed Ms. Parham’s claims were determined to be unfounded following a thorough investigation.”
