McDonald’s is launching its new summer menu this week and customers will be able to grab some new treats – however a number of items are being axed.
The list of items coming off menus on Wednesday, May 29, includes the Biscoff McFlurry – £1.99, Biscoff McFlurry mini – £1.59, Galaxy Caramel Pie – £1.99, Biscoff Frappe – £2.99 and Galaxy Chocolate McFlurry – £1.99, as well as the Galaxy Chocolate Mini McFlurry – £1.59 and Quarter Pounder Deluxe – £4.89.
Other items being removed include the Quarter Deluxe Medium Meal – £6.59, Chicken Big Mac – £4.69, Chicken Big Mac Meal – £6.49, Cheese & Herb Melts – £2.89 and also Cheese & Herb Melts Sharebox – £7.09. However, McDonald’s fans will be offered some new items.
From May 29, the fast-food giant will launch The Hat Trick, a hefty burger. It has three 100% beef patties, two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard, and ketchup all nestled in a glazed sesame seed bun. A McDonald’s Chicken Sharebox will also be available, packed with six Chicken Selects, twelve Chicken McNuggets, two McNuggets dips and two Selects dips, reports BirminghamLive.
In addition, there will be a new nine Chicken Selects Sharebox accompanied by three Selects dips. These launches will be complemented by new dip flavours, the firm says. Improved Garlic Mayo and Sweet and Smoky barbecue are being added permanently to menus, joining Sweet Chilli, McDonald’s says.
The return of Mozzarella Bites is also on the cards, along with the introduction of a new Skittles McFlurry, swirled with chewy Skittles fudge pieces and sugary pearls, topped with a purple Skittles-flavoured sauce. A Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie filled with chocolate ganache and a raspberry compote will also be gracing the menu.
Meanwhile, the Iced Latte is making a comeback, this time as a permanent fixture. And the Galaxy Caramel McFlurry is returning.
