Nelly Furtado entered the new year with self-love, showing off some skin in an orange bikini on Instagram post on Sunday.
Along with the mirror pictures, where she shows the front and backside of her two-piece swimsuit, the Grammy winner, 46, also expressed her thoughts around body positivity in a lengthy caption.
“HAVE A BODY NEUTRAL 2025 … BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, LOVE WITH EVERY INCH OF YOUR HEART,” the “I’m Like a Bird” singer wrote. “THANKS FOR ALL THE MEMORIES THIS YEAR.”
“This year I became aware of the aesthetic pressure of my work in a brand new way, while simultaneously I experienced new levels of self-love and genuine confidence from within,” Furtado continued.
The mother of three added that she’s had to “pursue some legal action” against service-selling frauds who’ve spread “health and beauty myths” about her, clarifying that she’s never gotten any surgical procedures.
Furtado said her glow comes from an “old school facialist” that she’s gone to for 26 years.
She added that her beauty secrets are drinking “lots of water,” sleeping on her back, and using face tape during photo shoots and red carpet appearances.
After noting that she embraces her “spider veins” passed down from her mother and aunties, she parted with a final message to her followers.
“My New Year’s message for 2025, is express yourself freely, celebrate your individuality and know that it’s perfectly OK to be OK with what you see in the mirror and it’s also OK to want something different,” she concluded.
Last November, Furtado was on an episode of podcast Call Her Daddy, where she celebrated her body image at 40.
