Newcastle United star Kieran Trippier has revealed that everybody is reading from the same page when it comes to talk of keeping the club’s best players.
Trippier has responded to suggestions that Newcastle might have to sell Alexander Isak or Bruno Guimaraes this summer, but knows that the duo are integral if United are to push on. The Magpies can all but assure themselves European status again tonight as they head to Old Trafford for a season defining game against the Red Devils.

When asked by reporters whether talk of Isak and Bruno leaving is unsettling, Trippier said: “For me I’m old and experienced enough to know not to listen to you guys who try to link them away!
“I’m only joking about that. It is what it is, it’s media, you’ve got to forget about it internally because we can’t be interested in it. Of course these are our main players, you have to keep them if you want to move forward as a club.
“The perfect manager, the perfect ownership who want to go in the right direction. Again it’s not something I’m worried about.”
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has managed to turn a tough situation at St James’ Park around into a season that could end with a Euro prize. The Magpies were 10th back in March and had a host of injuries, but they can take a big step to securing sixth place tonight.
Trippier said there was never any doubts about Howe’s ability from within, saying: “I don’t think I even need to go into that topic. Throughout the season you’ll have ups and downs, but what the manager has done for individuals at this club is nothing short of remarkable.
“He’s had a 49 per cent win ratio, it’s unbelievable. I don’t think I need to go down that route. You can see in the first 15 minutes they are singing his name. We don’t need to go down that route. Whatever it says on social media at times, internally that doesn’t bother us at all.”
