Netflix viewers’ patience is about to be rewarded as the gripping trailer for You season five finally dropped on February 25, and it’s throwing fans into a frenzy of anticipation.
This one-minute sneak peek opens with the enigmatic Joe Goldberg (portrayed by Penn Badgeley) gazing into a mirror, while his girlfriend, Kate, slides in asking for a helping hand with her necklace.
As Joe complies, his haunting voiceover sends chills down our spines: “Love tests us, I’ve been tested more than most. I came from nothing, a true rags to riches story, I’ve been through it all.”
He continues: “Unlucky in life and in love until I met you. Kate you opened doors for me I could never have imagined, we share a life.”
As Netflix sets the scene for an epic conclusion, it’s revealed the fifth and final season will hit our screens on April 24.
