Quality Street price slashed in major supermarket in time for Christmas but you’ll need to be quick

Aldi has reduced the price of Quality Street this week, just in time for Christmas. The discount supermarket has lowered the price of its Quality Street to £3.95 for a 600g tub, making it the most affordable on the market.

However, the offer is only available from today, Friday December 20, until Monday, December 23. Having a tub of Quality Street at home is seen as a tradition for Brits during Christmas, but tubs usually cost around £6.

With the cost of living still a burden for many, every saving counts. Previously, Aldi sold tubs of Quality Street for £4.49 each.

According to the price comparison site Trolley.co.uk, other supermarkets, including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco, Iceland, and Ocado, are selling Christmas treats for £6. However, if you have a Tesco Clubcard, you can get a box for just £4.50, although this price still does not beat Aldi.

Aldi is planning to open 30 new stores in the UK in 2025, including in the North East as it plans to expand across the country.

Asda also currently has an offer for two tubs for £9, making them only £4.50 each. There are 11 flavours of chocolate in a tub of Quality Street this Christmas, reports the Mirror.

However, Nestle announced earlier this year that the Coffee Creme chocolates will rejoin Quality Street tubs/tins, exclusively at pick-and-mix stations in John Lewis and Waitrose stores, for the festive period. The coffee-flavour fondant wrapped in dark chocolate had not been seen in Quality Street tins for more than 20 years before being reintroduced last year.

Emily Grimbley, Brand Manager for Quality Street, has confirmed fans’ hopes by announcing: “It’s a pleasure to share the news that coffee creme will be returning for Christmas 2024. This is an absolute fan favourite, and we are delighted to have it on shop shelves for Quality Street fans nationwide. We know how passionately Quality Street fans feel about their favourite sweets, so the pick and mix stations at John Lewis are people’s chance to fill up their own bespoke mix with just the sweets that they and their friends and family love.”
