IT’s a venue that’s already generated a lot of attention and curiosity online and Mowgli’s opening in Newcastle is now just days away, with first look shots from inside the stunning venue giving a flavour of what to expect.
After some speculation that TV famous and acclaimed chef Nisha Katona might be bringing her much buzzed about eatery to Tyneside, it was officially confirmed last year that Mowgli would be going into the Newcastle city centre premises previously occupied by the very popular Cafe Royal.
Over the last months, Nisha has posted a number of teasers on Mowgli’s social media channels about what to expect from the Newcastle venue, with her blown away by the architecture of its newest home, as well as the vibrancy of the city as a whole. Mowgli will have its official opening in town on Friday, March 14 and, with just a week to go until launch day, a few more insights from inside the building have been shared on social media, in the shape of some behind the scenes shots.
As well as being famous for its colourful , beautifully presented and delicious food, Mowgli has built a strong reputation for giving its customers a beautiful setting in which to enjoy their meals and, a glance at the finishing touches to its Newcastle restaurant, gives a firm indication that diners in the city should expect more of the same.
Like Mowgli’s other haunts all over the UK, its Newcastle business is drenched in fairylights and eye-catching fixtures and fittings, as well as incorporating real essence of Indian tradition.
Nisha has gone on the record as saying Newcastle was a city she was ‘desperate to get to’ for years and giving a what to accept from Mowgli’s new Tyneside base, she added: “We hope diners will love Mowgli’s passion for healthy, fresh Indian food.
“To make Newcastle truly our home, we will adopt Children’s Cancer North as our local house charity recommended by those who dine with us, to whom we will dedicate our time and resources”.
