Sort Your Life Out fans brand new episode ‘difficult to watch’

The latest instalment of Sort Your Life Out, featuring Stacey Solomon and her squad, has left viewers saying it was “difficult to watch” thanks to one participant’s reluctance to part with her knick knacks. The team, which includes decluttering whiz Dilly Carter, cleaning guru Iwan Carrington, and woodwork wizard Rob Bent, ventured to East Sussex to assist the Jamieson family in their cluttered converted bungalow on Tuesday 4 March’s show.

Single mum Nadine, who has called the house home since her teen years and shared it with her three daughters and late mother, found herself drowning in belongings. The stash was staggering: over 100 animal figurines, 87 board games, and a whopping collection of more than 1000 china pieces.

Every last item was hauled off to a warehouse, laying bare the extent of the family’s hoarding tendencies. As the programme unfolded, the family had to vacate their home while their personal treasures were carted away, leaving viewers at home utterly flabbergasted by the mountain of things they owned.

Nadine and her girls were up against the mammoth task of sifting through their possessions, aiming to ditch over half of them. The clutter was so intense that Stacey Solomon had to scramble into two rooms just to get inside. But viewers weren’t exactly rooting for Nadine, who seemed to cling to every item with a fervour, from long-forgotten toys to a yellow plastic mug from a trip to London’s Millennium Dome, reports the Mirror.

“I’m finding this episode of Sort Your Life Out extremely difficult to watch. This woman doesn’t want to change at all,” vented one viewer. Another expressed frustration: “This is painful to watch. You won’t have room for your flowers and coffee in your house full of STUFF!” referring to Nadine’s flimsy excuses for hoarding countless cups and jugs. A third chimed in with a light-hearted jab: “China crisis,” while another pointed out: “She’s fuming, don’t touch her china tea set!”

Yet, not everyone was critical; some could relate to Nadine’s attachment to her vast collection of china. “This one hits home I was raised by my mum and nan and we have loads of my nans stuff that my mum won’t get rid of,” empathised a viewer.

And after the transformation, praise rolled in: “Great makeover. Nothing too stark or totally brand new, her favourite things kept and made a feature of. Great to see her happy,” celebrated another fan.

YouTube sensation Zoe Sugg joined forces with Stacey and the crew to revamp the house, and the family were visibly overjoyed with the transformation after parting ways with a heap of their possessions. “It’s just really brought clarity back into my life,” said Nadine, “and now I can start living again.”

However, fans weren’t entirely convinced, predicting that Nadine might soon revert to her old habits. One viewer said: “As some other people have said this lady and her daughter are hoarders and they will need help so the house doesn’t go back to how it was, they done a great job though,” Another chimed in: “They did a really good job I think, not all my personal taste but it’s clearly their taste and that’s all that matters. I do worry that in a years time it will be a mess again though.”
