Strictly Come Dancing stars Janette Manrara and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec have shared their excitement for the future. After another successful series of the popular dance show, they’re already looking forward to 2025.
Aljaz made a triumphant return to the ballroom in 2024 after a two-year break, partnering with former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri and reaching the grand final. Despite scoring an impressive 119 out of 120 points, they were pipped to the post by comedian Chris McCausland and professional dancer Dianne Buswell. Meanwhile, Janette has been busy co-hosting spin-off show It Takes Two. The couple, who have a one year old daughter, Lyra Rose, are now planning some family time but also looking ahead to new opportunities in the new year, as Janette confirmed on Instagram.
She excitedly announced: “Who’s excited for next year?! WE ARE! SO excited to announce that we’ll back be joining @donaheys Dancing with the Stars Weekends in 2025! These weekends are always so special – a chance to meet so many of you and dance together in the most magical atmosphere! Whether you’re a complete beginner or a dance lover, we promise it will be a weekend full of fun, laughter, and great memories.”
She added, “Come and join us on the dance floor – you don’t want to miss it! Make sure to book your place! Visit @donaheys for details on how to save your spot to join us! We can’t wait to meet you all!”
This comes after Janette shared a series of photos on Instagram with her husband and his parents, who surprised him with a visit from Slovenia for the final. Alongside the photos, she gushed: “I have no words to express how IMMENSELY proud I am of @aljazskorjanec this series,” reports the Manchester Evening News.
“What a comeback year! You worked incredibly hard, spent time away from home and our little family, pushed through missing Lyra as much as you did, and did it all with class and grace making your wife and daughter and yourself very proud. You were AMAZING last night and every single week. I am so very happy for you, as are your family, friends and team. Now…. Let’s go home and cuddle. I’ve missed you, and I love you.”
Fans spotted that Aljaz’s celeb dance partner Tasha Ghouri got left out of wife Janette’s celebratory post, sparking reactions, as one user pointed out, “Tasha and aljaz were my winners however bit of a snub towards Tasha.”
Similarly, another chimed in: “It may have been nice for you to mention tasha in this post too? ” But some followers defended Janette, complimenting her on her constant support for her hubby.
