SZA caught wind of Shannon Sharpe discussing her BBL and the singer-songwriter has spoken up.
In the interview posted last month, Sharpe asked R&B vocalist Coco Jones about SZA’s enhancements around the one-minute mark of the video below, claiming that she “regretted” getting a Brazilian butt lift. While Jones sidestepped mentioning SZA, the “Saturn” artist addressed the video on Instagram.
“Lmaooo now why would this be a question for coco. Poor baby she handled it well 😂❤️ now Shay Shay,” SZA wrote.
“Incredibly tacky.. I wanted to come here too 😂 dah well,” SZA added in a second comment.
In an interview with British Vogue, published last November, SZA explained her feelings behind getting a BBL. “I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat,” she explained. “It was just so stupid. But who gives a fuck? You got a BBL, you realize you didn’t need the shit.”
The five-time Grammy winner added that the procedure wasn’t “super necessary.”
“I need to get my fucking mental health together,” SZA continued. “Not to say you can’t do those things simultaneously, just, for me, I realize wherever you go, there you’ll be. But I love my butt. Don’t get me wrong. My booty look nice. And I’m grateful that it looks pretty much… I don’t know, sometimes natural, but I don’t even care. It’s something that I wanted. I’m enjoying it. I love shaking it.”
SZA isn’t the only celebrity who has problems with Sharpe’s interview style, as Mike Epps has refused to be on Club Shay Shay until the former athlete puts white guests in the hot seat.
