Tickets for Craig David’s Newcastle date go on sale this week

Fans of Craig David are invited to make an early date with the star with tickets for his newly-announced Commitment UK tour for 2025 – which includes a Newcastle show – going on sale this week.

The enduring singer-songwriter, rapper and DJ, who over his long career has clocked up four MOBOs and three Novello awards, will be hitting the road early next year, treating fans to some classics and teasing some new songs. He says he just “can’t wait” for it – and fans who feel the same can start snapping up tickets from this Wednesday.

His 11-date tour will kick off in early February, with his show at the city’s Utilita Arena on February 5 being only his third stop-off, and following pre-sale ticket opportunities from 10am on May 1, tickets will then will go on general sale this Friday, May 3. In a further treat for music fans, special guest on the tour will be fellow artist Lemar who will be opening each night with a collection of his hits from over the last 20 years, such as If There’s Any Justice and Dance (With U).

Since David first made his impact upon the music scene in 2000 with acclaimed album Born To Do It, he has been credited with bringing garage from the underground to the forefront of mainstream, becoming one of the most successful artists in UK chart history. He has been awarded an MBE for his services to music; has earned multi-platinum status in more than 20 countries and now has one of the most successful residencies on the Ibiza circuit, with Ibiza Rocks.

He said of his latest news: “I can’t wait to bring my band back to the UK for my 2025 Commitment arena tour!” And he added he is “looking forward to having a party and mixing up the classics and maybe something new.”

The tour will start in Leeds on February 2 and wrap up at the O2 Arena on February 20. For full tour dates see below.
