Two men arrested after ‘disturbance’ at Durham city pub

Two men have been arrested after a “disturbance” at a Durham city pub.

Police were called to The Water House pub in the city centre at around 6pm on April 25 following reports of a “disturbance” on North Road. No injuries were reported and two men were arrested in connection with the incident.

The details of what the incident involved have not been released by Durham Constabulary, but an investigation has since been launched. The men who were arrested have been bailed.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “Police were called to reports of a disturbance in North Road, Durham City, shortly before 6pm on Thursday, April 25. Two men were arrested in connection with the incident and have since been bailed pending further enquiries.

“No-one is believed to have been injured. Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident who has yet to speak to them or anyone who has dash cam or CCTV from the time.”
