Ye Slams ‘Goofball’ Don Lemon for Starting Rumors About Being Kicked Out of the Grammys

In a post shared on Instagram the day after the Grammys, the artist formerly known as Kanye West ripped into former CNN host Don Lemon and accused him of spreading a rumor about why he and Bianca Censori left the Grammys.

“This the goofball that started the rumor that me and my wife got kicked out the Grammies,” Ye wrote alongside a low-resolution picture of Lemon, who interviewed several celebrities on the Grammys red carpet on Sunday, Feb. 2. “3 decades of innovating music and they always K**NS like this.”

During the Grammy Awards on Sunday, rumors circulated that Ye and Censori were “escorted out” of the show after “showing up uninvited.” However, a source close to the situation indicated that Ye was, in fact, invited because he was a nominee. He and his wife left the carpet and did not attend the show.

Lemon did attempt to interview Ye on the red carpet but was seemingly ignored by the controversial rapper, as seen in the clip below.

Following Ye’s criticism, Lemon addressed Ye in a post shared on his Instagram.

“First of all, Kanye—Ye, whatever your name is—I did not start a rumor about you being kicked out of the Grammys,” he said. “I actually corrected it. I saw someone on your team, who asked me to correct it because it had been reported everywhere. So, first of all, get your shit straight. And you, of all people, calling me a c**n? [Laughs] N*gro, that Make America Great Again hat must be too tight on your head.”

Ye has yet to respond to Lemon’s comments.
