Goals from Jacob Murphy and Anthony Gordon saw Newcastle book their place in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium next month.
Eddie Howe’s side ran out 2-0 winners at St James’ Park, and 4-0 on aggregate after their victory at the Emirates Stadium in the first-leg of the semi-final tie last month.
A raucous home crowd were extremely vocal throughout with support for their side and celebrated ecstatically at the final whistle as they saw their team put in a disciplined, spirited and brilliant performance to earn another trip to Wembley next month.
The Toon will be looking to go one better after reaching the final in 2023, but unfortunately losing to Manchester United.
