50 Cent Jokes About Tracy Morgan’s Courtside Vomit Incident at Knicks Game: ‘WTF Going on’

Tracy Morgan’s courtside vomiting incident, like practically every entry in the pop culture news cycle, has been met with an Instagrammed reaction from prolific social media presence 50 Cent. Naturally, 50 used the opportunity to playfully include a mention of one of his alcohol-related ventures, though it’s worth pointing out (as Morgan fans have done in response to 50’s commentary) that the celebrated comedian and Saturday Night Live alum is known for having been sober for quite some time now after struggling with drinking earlier in his life.

“Damn Tracy WTF going on bro,” 50 wrote when sharing an image of Morgan appearing to vomit at Monday’s Knicks and Heat game before adding in his signature touch of self-promotion. “Too much Branson Cognac LOL.” The Branson Cognac brand, of course, is 50’s own, and is typically mentioned in every IG update from the G-Unit Films and Television founder, regardless of the seriousness of the topic.

The Branson Cognan brand page also got in on the IG action, like so:

Footage showed Morgan eventually be taken from the court at Madison Square Garden via wheelchair. When reached for comment by Complex on Tuesday, an MSG spokesperson did not elaborate on the incident but did offer the following:

“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.”

Morgan, meanwhile, let fans know Tuesday morning that he was “doing ok now,” noting that doctors told him he was suffering from a case of food poisoning.

“More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” he joked.

50’s joke aside, fans were largely left concerned by Morgan’s courtside incident, with many showing support on social media while also mentioning the 30 Rock star’s near-death experience just over a decade ago. Back in 2014, Morgan was riding in a minibus when it was hit from behind by a Walmart truck, resulting in a fatal crash that left Morgan with multiple serious injuries.

Fans have also pointed to Morgan’s sobriety, which he has discussed in various interviews, including in a 2022 conversation on the Friend of Jerry podcast.

Here’s to hoping that Morgan makes a swift recovery and is able to quickly return to not only future Knicks games, but his chosen craft. Among the projects next on his slate is a new NBC comedy pilot that will see him reunited with 30 Rock creator and star Tina Fey.
