50 Cent’s a Fan of 2021 Ye Deposition Video: ‘Best Sh*t I Have Seen’

50 Cent is a fan of the recently surfaced 2021 deposition video featuring the artist formerly known as Kanye West, whose first new solo album, Bully, is still expected to be arriving soon.

Over on Instagram, where he offers daily commentary on current events that more often than not spurs its own headlines attention, Fif shared a clip from the deposition while declaring it as “the best shit” he’s ever seen.

“Wait, this is the best shit I have seen, LOL,” Fif wrote. “In the deposition, WTF going on here? LMAO.”

The deposition stems from a since-resolved legal dispute in which Ye and Yeezy Apparel were accused by MyChannel Inc. of breaking an agreement and copying their tech. Footage of the Zoom-conducted deposition, during which Ye put on an all-over face covering after being urged to stay off his phone, is featured in the upcoming A&E series Interrogation Raw: Celebrity Under Oath.

“Due to my mental geniusness, in order to focus on this bullshit, I need to be on a phone,” Ye said at one point in the deposition. Later, after putting on a mask that should be familiar to fans who were fully aboard during the Donda era, Ye said others on the Zoom at the time didn’t “have the right to see my face.”

50 and Ye’s respective artistic journeys famously collided during the head-to-head releases of their Curtis and Graduation albums back in 2007, with many still pointing to this playful showdown as a pivotal moment in hip-hop. Graduation ultimately emerged victorious on the charts and among critics, though Ye would make his first of several major stylistic departures just one year later with 808s & Heartbreak.

Animal Ambition, released in 2014, currently stands as 50’s most recent studio album. This month, he’ll kick off his first-ever Vegas residency, with plans on the horizon to launch a potential stadium tour in the near future.
